Procedure

SKETCHES | TECH SHEETS | REFERENCE SAMPLES
- Once sample information is received (tech sheets, reference samples, etc.), Sales MDs will prepare and request fabric yardages, hardware, and trims from each supplier and partner.
- The MDs, along with the Sample Room technician, will also analyze the construction for any inquires directed to product developer and designer.

PATTERN MAKING
- Pattern makers will create digital patterns based on technical sheets, reference samples, and even sketches using current pattern-making software.
- A hard copy of the digital pattern will be produced using a Plot-and-Cut machine and will serve as a reference for each pattern panel.

MATERIAL PREPARATION
- Trims will be sorted and cut according to the required lengths.
- The hardware requirements (plastic and/or metal) will be complited and intergrated with the other trim materials.

CUTTING
- The paperboard patterns recently produced by Plot-and-Cut machine have been separated and arranged according to the specified fabric or mesh.
- Cutting is performed either manually or with a laser cutting machine, depending on the shape, size, and type of material.
- Branding requirements, including screen printing and embroidery, will be managed by our external partners. Fabric panels will be sent to them for processing.

SEWING
- Materials will be provided to each operator for the purpose of sewing.
- Designated machine will be utilized for specific operations, including sewing and assembly tasks such as bartack stitching, binding, overlocking and riveting.

FINISHING
- QA Team of the Sample Department will conduct inspection based on the customer’s standards.
- Main construction and structure will also be reviewed and repaired or improved as necessary.
- Prior to packing, pattern marks will be removed, and excess thread ends will be trimmed.

SAMPLE SENDING
- Once the samples have been reviewed by both the MD and QA personnel, it is now time to pack and send to the customers.
- MDs and technicians will conduct a final review of the construction and provide feedback to the product developer and designer.

COSTING
- Actual samples will be reviewed to get all data and update the Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Digital patterns will be arranged efficiently according to the specified materials to minimize waste.
- All operations requred to produce the sample will be documented, and a time study will be conducted to calculate the actual labor costs.

ORDER PLACEMENT
- PO placement will be initiated once all information for each style is finalized and samples are approved with confirmed FOBs.
